“Keep doing what you do — with heart. Because you do it brilliantly.”
We want to wholeheartedly thank you for an absolutely wonderful and adventurous vacation in Sumatra — full of stunning places, kind people, and memories we will cherish for years to come. And honestly — we will probably never forget.
We don’t even know where to begin — there was so much! From the very first days we felt something exceptional awaited us. Our incredibly friendly and knowledgeable guides Ali, Aril, and Imam ensured not only safe travel but, above all, unforgettable moments. Each of them added something unique to our journey — so many interesting facts, stories, and a deep understanding of local life. They told us what the rainforest means to the people of Sumatra — its losses, its protection, its fauna and flora, the everyday life so different from ours — yet in many ways surprisingly close.
The overnight trek through the jungle was a chapter of its own. Seeing orangutans, gibbons, langurs, and other wildlife in their natural habitat was an experience etched into our memory forever. Ali’s stories about herbs and his father — a shaman — evening talks by the fire by the river under a starry sky… it all felt like a dream. And yet it was reality, one we could experience for a few weeks thanks to you.
There were countless such moments. The entire trip lasted four weeks, and thanks to your carefully crafted itinerary, we got to know Sumatra and its people not as tourists, but as guests. The guides gave us an authentic view of local life — emphasizing traditions, nature, and the genuineness with which people live, with all the advantages and disadvantages their environment brings. Everywhere we went, people welcomed us with smiles, warmth, and curiosity. It was beautiful to see their openness — nowhere have we felt so safe and welcome.
Sumatra got us. It is wild, diverse, rugged yet gentle. At its core so pure, calm, and real that you simply have to stop and just take it all in.
Whether we were in the jungle, on a river, by a lake, at the foot of volcanoes, or on small islands with postcard-perfect beaches — everything was breathtaking. Turquoise water, empty beaches, rustling palms, and absolute peace. All of this we could experience thanks to you, Lenka, and your team.
We have traveled a great deal — across Europe and the world — but Sumatra and its people won over not just us, but our boys too. It gave us all new impressions, friends, experiences, and above all inner peace. And we believe it was not our last visit.
Thank you for your care, your approach, and for what you do. Keep doing it exactly the way you do — with heart. Because you do it brilliantly.
