From the very first moment we met Lenka, Ali and Aril at the Medan airport, our amazing adventure began. In Bukit Lawang we ventured deep into the jungle for several days, and what we experienced was breathtaking. All the magnificent fauna and flora captivated us. We swam under waterfalls, held our breath meeting orangutans and other wonderful creatures of this magical place. We spent evenings under a starry sky listening to the living songs of the jungle. Throughout, our two guides cared for us, literally "like babies," preparing excellent food — we have no idea how they conjured all that delicious juicy fruit from such small backpacks. They told us about everything we were curious about — it was genuinely fun. Their experience is fascinating. Ali is even the son of a shaman, so we drew from his wisdom and connection with the jungle. The return trip from the jungle was a raft ride down the Bohorok river. Simply one grand amazing adventure. Then we transferred by boat to a gorgeous island of the Pulau Banyak archipelago and the next part of our beautiful journey began. A pristine island that immediately welcomed us with its gifts — a welcome drink from a coconut was unforgettably refreshing. Turquoise Indian Ocean water full of gorgeous marine life, fish, crabs, shells. You watch dolphins, small sharks, turtles, stunning sunsets over the ocean. Every day you eat gifts of the sea and marvel at all the beauty, at being in such a magical place — again without tourists, without crowds, without people, simply alone. However, with the help of our guide Lenka, we managed to step out of our comfort zone very quickly and dive into adventure and adrenaline challenges in Indonesia. One of my favorite experiences was exploring the rainforest, where we slept under the open sky far from civilization. We could savor the beauty of nature to the fullest. “For both of us it was an unforgettable 10 days in the jungle of Sumatra and on the beaches of Palau Palambak, experienced with our guides Ali and Aril. The experiences were beautiful and also powerful — gorgeous jungle (whether going uphill or downhill), encounters with orangutans, macaques, baboons, moon vipers, toucans… relaxation, snorkeling and fishing on a deserted island, and also traveling on Sumatran roads (a truly intense experience). Those ten days were amazing, as was the service from our guides. I just recommend warning all travelers that in the Aceh region it’s not easy to find decent food, restaurants, accommodation, or any beer! “Traveling Sumatra with 2 kids was a big adventure for us. The jungle trek was absolutely unique — our guides constantly devoted attention to showing us plants and animals we would have hardly noticed on our own. We saw not only orangutans but also porcupines, green mambas, and even a tiger’s den. The children quickly fell in love with the guides, trusted them completely, and weren’t afraid of anything. They absolutely loved the off-road motorcycle excursions. Climbing the Sibayak volcano, the journey to the cannibals, and other extraordinary experiences guaranteed this expedition will stay in our memory for a long time. The final lazy days on Palambak island were wonderful — there really wasn’t much to do, so beach walks, fishing, and swimming in turquoise water were a beautiful way to spend the last few days. Even here we were lucky — we saw turtles, small sharks, and found giant shells buried in the sand as large as washbasins, of which there were countless. For a European, still paradise. It would be worth exploring Sumatra more — it’s gorgeous. And without Lenka it wouldn’t have been possible — she advised on everything, arranged the trip perfectly, and was available 24 hours a day. Highly recommended!!”

“It has been almost a month since our group of four returned from Sumatra. The whole time I’ve been struggling to figure out what to write, what to even say. There were so many beautiful experiences that words can hardly express what amazing three weeks we had in Sumatra and what an amazing environment it is. I could talk for hours and still couldn’t express my feelings from this trip. There are simply things that words cannot capture — they must be experienced.
